Overview

Operation: Mechagon - Workshop is a 4-boss dungeon from Battle for Azeroth, reintroduced in The War Within Season 2 for Mythic+. Located on Mechagon Island, it features mechanical enemies and environmental hazards. In Mythic+, it’s a timed dungeon with a 30-minute completion window, scaling difficulty based on keystone level, and weekly affixes that add extra challenges.

Boss Strategies

1. Tussle Tonks

Description: A dual-boss fight with The Platinum Pummeler and Gnomercy 4.U. in an arena with moving hazards.

Key Abilities:

Piston Smasher: Hammers deal physical damage and stun within 4 yards. Smashing The Platinum Pummeler removes its Platinum Plating, stunning it and disabling the smasher for 1.5 minutes.

Buzz Saws: Rotating saws deal damage and knock back players.

Mythic+ Mechanic: Adds spawn more frequently under Fortified.

Strategies:

Use Piston Smashers to break Platinum Plating.

Dodge Buzz Saws and avoid hammer zones.

Interrupt Gnomercy 4.U. casts.

Description: A robotic guard dog that summons adds and deals nature damage.

Arcing Zap: Dispellable DoT dealing nature damage over 20 seconds.

Anti-Personnel Squirrel: Spawns an add that runs to a player and casts AoE damage.

Sonic Pulse: Frontal cone dealing nature damage and silencing.

Mythic+ Mechanic: Squirrels hit harder with Fortified.

Strategies:

Dispel Arcing Zap quickly.

Kill squirrels before they explode.

Dodge Sonic Pulse and spread out.

3. Machinist's Garden

Description: Head Machinist Sparkflux turns a garden into a death trap with environmental hazards.

Key Abilities:

Activate Anti-Personnel Squirrel: Spawns explosive adds.

Self-Trimming Hedge: Deals damage if touched.

Mythic+ Mechanic: Hazards deal more damage under Tyrannical.

Strategies:

Destroy Inconspicuous Plants to reduce adds.

Avoid hedges and flaming patches.

Interrupt key casts like Giga-Wallop.

4. King Mechagon

Description: A two-phase fight: Aerial Unit (Phase 1) and Omega Buster (Phase 2).

Key Abilities:

Phase 1:

Pulse Blast: Tank damage.

Recalibrate: Moves Plasma Orbs that knock back.

Giga-Zap: Line attack with a DoT.

Phase 2:

Mega-Zap: Multiple line attacks.

Magneto-Arm: Pulls players and orbs.

Mythic+ Mechanic: Plasma Orbs hit harder with Tyrannical.

Strategies:

Phase 1: Dodge orbs and Giga-Zap.

Phase 2: Stay in melee range, avoid Mega-Zap, and use defensives for Magneto-Arm.

Trash Mob Strategies

Tips: Use crowd control and pull carefully, especially with Bolstering.

Fortified: Trash has more health and damage—focus on CC.

Tyrannical: Bosses hit harder—save cooldowns for them.

Bolstering: Kill trash evenly to avoid buffs.
