Leveling guide for New World

Published on 9/22/2021

This is the first opinion about the priorities of leveling in the New World.

It's a view from closed and open beta builds.
When the game will be released developers can change rates or add/remove some activities in the game.
Here we will see the basic game activities and how they will help us with leveling your character.

A. New World is a quest-oriented game. Most of the experience you get from the quest.
You can do storyline quests, your faction quests - it will be very helpful because you can obtain good starter gear from your faction. Sometimes you can do the quests from your town desk, but on the open beta that wasn’t worth it for fast leveling your character.

B. Grinding mobs. In terms of time/experience, it is not worth it at all. I told you this in case these mobs are not required for your quest.

C. Points of Interest and lore notes. While exploring the world, you will often stumble upon places with a question mark. There you should just come closer and get your piece of experience.
Also, you will see notes on the floor, in the houses, everywhere where you will go. Just use them and get your experience. Sometimes the text can be interesting if you are interested in the history of the world.

D. Crafting, Refining and Gathering professions. Every profession will give you experience when you use it. I mean, for example, you kill a wolf, then skinning him for his skin, refine his skin, and craft gloves from this skin. Every step of this production chain will give experience to you.

When leveling your character, do not forget to collect resources, and then process them for your chosen profession.
Crafting is a big part of the game. There you can obtain almost the best equipment, but it is not a mandatory aspect of the game. You can just buy all items which you need from the other players.
In other words - the profession will give you tons of experience, but if you are not interested in crafting it is not worth the time/experience.

E. New world has a rested experience system. It’s like in World of Warcraft, but the bonus experience you will gain only for the quests. So grinding and crafting will not give you extra experience.
So, if you need to go you should log out.

F. Last but not least.
Make sure you are using consumables. Food and elixirs, fast traveling. It will give you a lot of advantages.
As you know this game is an MMO, so all activities at a party with your friends or just with adventurers which you will meet in the game will give you a lot of fun and make your game experience more comfortable.

I hope our advice will help you with leveling in the New World.

But if you want to be in the first wave of players exploring high-end content and taking part in huge battles for the influence of your faction in the world you can buy boosting service from us. We are veterans of MMO games and experienced with Alpha, closed and open Beta’s build of the New World.

See you in the New World. Good luck!
